How much weight can a golf cart handle?

Question by : How much weight can a golf cart handle?
I know a guy that is at least 400lbs, more around 425 to 450 max. He uses a golf cart to get around. The floor of the cart has to be fixed often, as it pushes itself off of the cart. The cart leans to one side, and the batteries take a lot of strain on hills. I was wondering, does he max out the golf cart? Is he past the limit? How much can it handle?

yes and no they can handle that much since its meant for two passengers, but the problem is its all on one side i would not go past 400-500 lbs tough unless its a groundskeepers cart.

Most state 500 lbs, including the passengers and the clubs
Going up hill we took 2 walkers with pull carts so weight wise we had 800 lbs
about 450-500 lbs
